Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, national academic societies have actively responded to the call of the China Association for Science and Technology (CAST), leveraging their organizational strengths and expert advantages, and uniting to lead the broad cadre of science and technology workers in actively engaging in the people's war, overall war, and battle to contain the epidemic. They have played an important role in epidemic prevention and control as well as the work of resuming production.
